Glory be to God for a brand new week that commences with this beautiful Sunday
Firstly, I’ll love to welcome everyone to this beautiful time in God’s presence,
Also, I’ll love to show my respect to elders of this great parish,
To the entire congregation, you could have been anywhere else, but you chose to be with Jesus
To my mum Elizabeth, the one that through the Holy Spirit conceived me in her spiritual womb,
And above all, to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith, our advocate, night and day who sits at the right hand of God – Jehovah, the one that has the key to our salvation, let someone, who knows that his redeemer lives shout Halleluiah!
I get excited when each Sunday lessons are read to us, it makes me feel so proud to be a celestial church member, whoever among you who still has one or few reasons to doubt the credibility of the church should, ask yourself, how else to do want it proven?
The mystery of the church is so massive and might be too complicated to explain, but my question is, do
you know that at a point, someone asked a question in the old testament and because no one had a clue or answer, they thought he was insane. Proverbs 30:4 (Agur who was born over a thousand years before Jesus Christ was shown the mystery of heaven, but no one could comprehend; the Celestial Church is highly favored to be a thousand miles ahead of time, in terms of the revelation about true heavenly worship –please clap for Jesus)
Can we just sing the first verse of hymn 330
Praise ye Jesus, Praise ye Jesus, for the last church He descended (2times)
Thank you Jesus, there is someone here, the Lord said, your husband who used to be gentle and responsible has suddenly turned violent towards you, the first time he slapped you, you could not believe it, now, he talks unguardedly to you, rains insults, and he makes you cry all the time, the Lord said, that demon wants to destroy his progress in order to punish you, all eyes closed, the Lord said I should pray for you first, just raise your right hand up. (Pray for families in distress.) Shout Halleluyah!!!
Our topic for the sermon today is ‘’This Life, is a subject without a textbook’’ (I repeat)
(I hope you listen, and grab the key to your spiritual emancipation in the mighty name of Jesus)
Solomon was a victim of a fate he had no power over, his destiny made him a victim. For a myopic reader of the Bible, he would envy Solomon’s riches or wealth, he would even be praying to God to be blessed like Solomon, but if you have the opportunity to study the life and times of King Solomon, you will realize that he lived the latter part of his reign in regret.
A brief history, Solomon was a child from a woman who was unfaithful to her husband, his mother – Bath – she – ba (2 Samuel 11:2-3) was betrothed to Uriah who was a soldier in King David’s Army. Everyone in the whole nation of Israel knew Solomon’s story (his nickname was ‘the Son of that Adulterous Woman’); he lived the earlier part of his life in scorn, in fiasco (I mean in ridicule). Most times when he walks the street, his peer laugh at him, he grew up living with his sorry mother who also spent her life trying to make it up. To cut the long story short, Solomon received an extra ordinary favor from God, but he wasted It, by his lust for women, women from ungodly background,
Thank you Jesus! (there is somebody here who has been entrapped by a destiny devourer, the Lord says, she will spark up a misunderstanding after today, immediately, run to church and spend one day in the Mercy land with a candle, sponge and soap, read psalms 35, 3& 91, tell God you want to be freed from the bondage that has deprived you of your progress, shout Halleluiah!)
They lured Solomon into paganism and God in His anger terminated Solomon’s reign and gave 11 out of the 12 towns he ruled to his servant- Jeroboam, but left only Judah for Solomon to govern just because of God’s covenant with Solomon’s father – David.
This same Solomon in his sober reflection wrote the text for our first lesson, so that we can learn from his own mistakes, I categorize the whole of the first lesson into 4 strata:
Be benevolent to people
Don’t put all your eggs in one basket
Invest in your future or rather, plan for old age
Calamity is inevitable (Vicissitude of life) (I repeat it, hope you’re writing)
By the virtue of capability or ability, Solomon had no valor, no strength, no esteem, he was not even the favorite son, David knew this, that was why he wrote the last book of his Psalms which is Ps. 72, where he personally begged God, to have mercy on Solomon, David struck the deal, but Solomon failed to sustain the covenant.
Ecclesiastes is a book or compilation of regret from a tragic hero, a point of self-evaluation, Solomon wished he could turn back the hands of time.
Hymn 286 stanza 2 says “Vanity is the world, and all that they that dwelleth therein, the last ship has arrived, Jesus calleth sinners , the last ship has arrived Jesus calleth sinner …Our founder, SBJ Oshoffa, deliberately induced this Psalms (72) in our Glorious Sunday service, we’ve recited it today, unfortunately, you and I are the Solomon, the descendants of Oshoffa, 1 Kings 2:1-4 says, keep to the covenant so that God can keep to His own promise of Eternal Glory for you and your Children’s children.
Thank you Jesus, Thank you Holy Spirit! There is someone here, the Lord said I should tell you, you aborted a baby of about 5 months, and ever since then, it’s been one nightmare after the other, no one knew about this except a friend, a younger friend that you claim to trust, but, the Spirit of the Lord is hurt by your truncating the destiny of that great unborn child, the Lord says, if you don’t fast for a day (read John 8:10-11)and cry unto Him for forgiveness, you will not live long, you will fall sick very soon and you will die, all eyes closed please, I pray, in the mighty name of Jesus, divine mercy like what that lady got when you freed her from her accusers be /your portion in the mighty name of Jesus.
I want to quickly go into the 2nd lesson for this service and I want us to read the 37th verse of Matthew 25. Then shall the righteous answer him saying ‘Lord, when was that?’ do you know why? Because being good is not a skill, it’s a virtue, it’s the most important organ of our spiritual body, it’s about choice, it’s a spirit that lives within anyone that has the fear of God. Some of us give when there is a spiritual message to do so, because, they hope to get blessed by God, maybe you think God can be bought!
Isaiah 3:10, tell the good person that it shall be well with him, he shall eat the fruit of his deeds. Tell the wicked the opposite.
Can someone please read Psalm34:12-16
Jesus is come to separate the sheep from the goats (Matthew 25:32), because they’ve been wicked to people in need, and have not loved your neighbors as yourself, you keep malice and you don’t have forgiving spirit, you neither share nor care, and his judgment is fast approaching, read verse 45 – 46
BOW YOUR HEAD, LET’S REFLECT FOR A MINUTE, DON’T YOU THINK TOMORROW MAY BE TOO LATE TO REPENT, IS THERE ANYONE HERE WHO WANTS TO GIVE HIS LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST, OR MAYBE YOU HAVE DONE SO BEFORE, BUT YOU WANT TO REDEDICATE YOU LIFE TO JESUS, RISE ON YOUR FEET,
(PIANO PLEASE PLAY HYMN 238, what reason will we all give, at the sight of Jesus, so many people have gone without accepting him, all the whole world have sinned, and fallen short o’ His Glory, o sinner the name of Jesus shall save all ye, ) PRAYER: Repeat after me, Lord Jesus, I missed it, but today, I’ve decided to come back to you, please forgive me, do not cast me away, I promise not to ever look back, Holy Spirit, Come into my Life, teach me, guide me, help me, rescue me, I will follow you, so that at the end, I will not be cast away, In Jesus Mighty Name We Pray. Amen.
